Day of Constitution of the Russian Federation at the Karelian Branch of RANEPA

On 12 December, 2017 the Karelian branch of RANEPA held a solemn event dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation, which was attended by students and faculty of the Presidential Academy, Petrozavodsk College of Municipal Economy and other invited guests.

Ms Danilova, a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia, as well as Dr Larichev, Head of the Chair of Constitutional and Municipal Law of the Karelian branch of RANEPA, and Dr Bogdanov, Head of the Chair of State Regional Administration of the Karelian branch of RANEPA, addressed the audience.

Dr Larichev told the audience about the importance of the Constitution of the Russian Federation in shaping the contemporary social, economic and legal system of Russia. Ms Danilova shared information on the work of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Karelia and its role in the protection of constitutional rights of citizens. Dr Bogdanov made a report about the historical and legal foundations of the modern constitutional order, and about the work on the current Constitution of Russia.

The participants listened to the reports with great interest and participated actively in the discussion. The Karelian branch of RANEPA will continue to promote knowledge of the foundations of the constitutional system in the framework of such events in the future.
